About Our Celebration

For my Bar Mitzvah project, I have decided to do a general fundraiser for Shaving Israel. My Savta (my grandmother, Pheby) told me about this organization and since I have family who live in Israel and have served in the IDF, I wanted to do something to help other members of the IDF. 

I learned  there are many soldiers who do not have any family support and are struggling financially while serving their country. I think it is important for the men and women who are protecting Israel to have all the resources they need to be comfortable, warm, and clean. Shaving Israel will take all our donations and purchase clothing, blankets, towels, phone chargers, and other personal items for IDF soldiers in need. 

Shaving Israel purchases these items in Israel and uses volunteers to help distribute the items to the IDF soldiers. Isn't it amazing Shaving Israel has assisted 7,500 soldiers since it began in 2004?  I am excited that we can help too!
